Senior Honors Choir Audition

Auditions for VA Senior Honors Choir will be held on 10/12/2019 at Longwood University. Audition times will be scheduled based on requests to the event chair in September. The Honors Choir event will take place in Hot Spring, VA at the Homestead Resort, November 21-23, 2019.

Senior Honors Choir is a Virginia Music Educators Association Honors Choir, and it is one of the most elite honors choirs you can be a part of in your high school career. The choir is only open to 12th grade students enrolled in Choral programs throughout the State of VA.

Pre-screenings will be on 9/6. In addition, we need to collect your forms and fees on 9/6 as well.

The audition fee is $17.20:

• Cash or Checks payable to Parents for Choral Arts.
• Please be sure that payment is in an envelope with your name clearly labeled on the front.
• Due 9/6

In the meanwhile, please PLAN AHEAD & begin (or continue) learning the audition piece. You should work with a private teacher or coach, if possible.

• You will perform with a live accompanist and in front of a panel of judges. 
• Sight reading is worth 20% of your overall score.
